• California Department of Child Support Services works with parents to make sure children and families are receiving court-ordered medical and financial support.
• Children and Family Services Division of the California Department of Social Services assists with adoptions, foster care, and other children's services and child welfare issues.
• Child Support Calculator can be used to help estimate the amount of child support which may be awarded by the court.
• State Bar of California pamphlet on divorce and child custody includes information on the rules and methods of divorce, annulment, spousal support and more.
• Federal Office of Child Support Enforcement helps families obtain financial and medical support for children by establishing and enforcing paternity and child support obligations.  The office provides a Federal Parent Locator Service to assist in locating parents, collecting child support payments, and enforcing support orders.
• The Employee Benefits Security Administration at the United States Department of Labor provides information on the division of retirement benefits through Qualified Domestic Relations Orders (QDROs).

• Family Violence Prevention Fund provides specialized information packets designed to strengthen the health care response to domestic violence, as well as technical assistance and library services to support health care-based domestic violence training and program development.
• State Bar of California pamphlet discusses what constitutes domestic violence under the law and steps victims can take to protect themselves.
